IAA 2021: What’s happening?
Next week, CARIAD will be exhibiting at its first-ever international automotive show – IAA Mobility. Find out about what you can expect to see and hear from us at one of the industry’s leading events.
‘One platform. Endless car experiences.’ Under this slogan, we at CARIAD will be presenting our unified software and technology platform at IAA Mobility 2021. With a number of exciting talks from members of CARIAD, we’ll be breathing life into our mission to transform Volkswagen into a software-driven mobility provider.
This year, the IAA will take place from 7 to 12 September in Munich. If you’re attending the event, come and visit us at the IAA Summit in Hall B2.AO1. If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry – all talks will be streamed online, and we’ll be posting links across on our LinkedIn and Twitter channels throughout the event. You’ll also be able to visit us online at our digital twin booth – a virtual replica of the real-life stand. We’ll be sharing more information on how to access this shortly.

Alexis will provide an insight into our unified software and hardware platform, its rationale and benefits, and the new customer experience it will offer in the future.
13:00 – 13:30: ‘VW.OS / VW.AC: The foundation of the new digital ecosystem’ by Michael Wintergerst, Executive Vice President, Head of Vehicle & Cloud Platform
On the Summit Stage, and as part of the Accenture Panel, Michael will talk about the interplay of VW.OS and VW.AC and how it empowers the new digital ecosystem of the Volkswagen Group.
14:00 – 14:30: ‘Unlocking the value of mobility data’ by Knut Krösche, Senior Vice President Digital Business & Mobility Services
This talk will take place at the PwC Booth.
Wednesday 8 September
11:00 – 11:30: ‘Why AI is so important for the automotive industry’ by Jan Zawadzki, Head of Artificial Intelligence
Jan will explain the increasingly important role that AI is playing in the automotive industry and give an insight into how CARIAD is tackling this exciting challenge.
13:00 – 13:30: ‘Our way to automated driving’ by Florian Bouché, Interim Lead of ADAS & AD
Florian will present CARIAD’s strategy towards higher levels of autonomy and will explain how this approach is different to that of the competition.
16:00 – 16:30: ‘One.Infotainment for the Volkswagen Group: Endless new car experiences’ by Riclef Schmidt-Clausen, Senior Vice President, Head of Intelligent Cockpit & Body
Riclef will explain the impact of software on the user experience in future cars and the benefits offered by One.Infotainment for the Volkswagen Group.
Thursday 9 September
