How can I apply to join CARIAD?

To apply to join us at CARIAD, you must first set up a user profile with login data. This will allow you to review your application at all times.

We look forward to receiving your application for a specific advertised position online on our Job Portal. Here, you can also filter by location or business area.

What does the application process look like?

At CARIAD, we are constantly searching for the brightest talents to join us. Therefore, our hiring process is transparent, efficient and thorough. During the application process, we will look to get to know you and also ensure that you also understand who we are, as well as what we do.

After you have applied for a position via our Job Portal, you will immediately receive a confirmation for your application. If you submit an application and do not received a confirmation, please also check your spam folder. We will then review your application and get in touch with you as soon as possible, in order to give you swift feedback.

Depending on the position you are applying for, you might need to undertake a technical assessment test. This will allow you to determine whether your skills and experience are a good match for the requirements of the role. We will inform you about the technical assessment via email. This is carried out by our partner Futurepath.

After a successful assessment test, the interview process will begin with the respective department and human resources. You can find more information on the interview process below.

Shortly after your interview, we will inform you about our decision. You will then receive a call from one of our HR business partners to talk you through the official offer and guide you through the next steps.

If you are keen to work for CARIAD but don’t succeed at your first attempt, please don’t give up. You are more than welcome to try again! There may well be another position which is deemed a better fit for you and your talents.

Which documents are required?

To help us to get to know you better we need your up-to-date resume. We recommend that you also include a cover letter and upload other relevant certificates. Your application documents can be submitted in English or German.

Can I apply for multiple positions?

Yes, you can apply to different positions at the same time. Please ensure that the qualifications on your resume match the requirements of the position.

Can I change my documents and personal information after I have already applied?

Of course! You can log into your user profile with your email address and password and then update or replace documents at any time: here.

What happens during the interview?

During the interview, we would like to get to know you personally. To begin with, we will ask you to introduce yourself. We will then ask specific questions related to your career and personal development. These will relate to your past successes and failures, and how you dealt with these. You will be expected to answer each question by stating specific examples, in order to give us a deeper insight.

For us, it is important that you are a technical and personal fit for CARIAD. Therefore, we want to find out more about your values, as well as how you manage complex situations and what teamwork means for you. We will also assess whether you can take on responsibility and are able to challenge yourself.

How can I withdraw my application?

In the same way you can update any documents you have uploaded, you can also log in to your profile and withdraw your application if you change your mind. To do so, please click on the recycle bin symbol next to your application.

When will I receive a feedback on my application?

Our recruiting team wants applicants to experience the best candidate journey we can offer, so we endeavor to provide feedback as quickly as possible. Please note that this process can sometimes take more time than anticipated due to high numbers of applications, changes to the position, annual leave or other unforeseen circumstances.

How do I know if the position is still open?

The advertisements in our job portal are continually updated. As long as the role is published in our job search, you can assume the vacancy is still available.

How is the application process being handled during the coronavirus pandemic?

In principle, our application process remains the same during the coronavirus pandemic. The only difference is that we have switched to a digital recruiting process because we care about the wellbeing and health of all our employees and applicants. This means that conversations that would have taken place in person are being conducted via video conference calls for the time being.

I have forgotten my login information. What should I do?

Your username is the email address you used to apply. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one here. You will then receive an email with further instructions.

I cannot complete and submit my application via the system due to an error. What should I do?

Please try registering on our portal using another browser. We also recommend that you do not use the translation function for our application form, as this may cause problems when submitting the application. If the problem persists, please contact us at careers@cariad.technology.
