Here are some answers from our recruiting team to the most frequently asked questions.

How can I apply to join CARIAD?

We’d be happy to receive your application for one of our advertised positions. You can use our job portal to filter our vacancies by location, business area or career status to find the right position for you.

To apply, create a user profile on our job portal. This allows you to access and manage your application at any time. 

Who can apply to CARIAD?

At CARIAD, everyone is welcome, regardless of origin, gender, sexual orientation and identity, faith, disability or age. Diversity is crucial to us, which is why we promote it in all our corporate activities.

The application process at CARIAD:

At CARIAD, we’re always looking for outstanding talent. That's why our application process is designed to be transparent, efficient and thorough. Not only do we want to learn more about you, but we also want to give you an insight into our company and the working atmosphere at CARIAD.

1. Application and contact:

After you apply for a position via our job portal, we’ll contact you as soon as possible. Depending on the vacancy, you may have to take a technical assessment, which will be conducted by our partner Futurepath. We’ll inform you about this separately by email.

2. Interview with the department (business unit interview):

The first interview takes place with the respective department. This interview gives you insights into the possible areas of responsibility and the future team. It also allows you to get to know the team structure, working methods and the tech stack used (including programming languages, frameworks, methods and tools). Here, you have the opportunity to meet the Hiring Manager as well as experts from the team – in some cases even the whole team.

3. Interview with the HR department (HR interview):

This is followed by an interview with our HR department, where we’d like to get to know you better as a person. You’ll be asked to introduce yourself and answer specific questions about your professional and personal development. This also includes your successes, failures and how you have dealt with them. We ask that you give us a deeper insight into your qualifications with concrete examples.

It's very important to us that your values and personality fit CARIAD. That's why we want to know more about your approach to complex situations, your idea of teamwork and your ability to take responsibility. And of course, the same goes for us: we’ll be happy to give you an overview of what it's like to work at CARIAD and answer any questions you may have.

4. Feedback and further steps:

After the interview with the HR department, you’ll receive feedback within 48 hours. If the feedback is positive, someone from our recruiting team will inform you about the contract details and the next steps.

If you didn't succeed on your first try, we encourage you not to give up! You’re welcome to reapply for another position. We’re always looking for the best talent and therefore appreciate your efforts.

Which documents are required?

To get to know you best, we need your current resume. We also recommend that you upload a cover letter and other relevant references. You can submit your application documents in English as well as in German. You can update or replace the documents at any time. There isn’t a long application form – just upload your documents and you’re done!

Can I apply for multiple positions?

Yes, you can apply for multiple positions at the same time. Please make sure that the qualifications in your resume match the requirements of each position.

Can I change my documents and personal information after I have already applied?

Of course! You can log into your user profile with your email address and password and then update or replace documents at any time: here.

How can I withdraw my application?

If your plans change, you can easily withdraw your application by logging into your profile and clicking the trash icon next to your application.

To whom do I address my application?

It isn’t necessary to address your application to a specific contact person, as the review of your documents will be done in close cooperation between different team members.

When will I receive a feedback on my application?

Our recruiting team makes it a priority to provide you with timely feedback in order to make the most of your application experience. Please understand that there may occasionally be delays due to a high number of applicants, job changes, vacations or unexpected events. We appreciate all feedback and are open to ideas to improve the process.

How do I know if the position is still open?

The advertisements in our job portal are updated continuously.  As long as the role is published in our job search, you can assume the vacancy is still available.

I have a disability. Will CARIAD support me in the application process?

We want to encourage people with disabilities to apply to CARIAD while ensuring a fair application process. We involve our disability representative at an early stage and offer technical or organizational adjustments for the application process.  Please let us know when you apply if you need such adjustments. What if I can’t find a suitable position for me?

It currently isn’t possible to submit a speculative application to CARIAD. However, we recommend visiting our job portal regularly, as we continuously post new vacancies. You may soon find the perfect position for you!

I have forgotten my login information. What should I do?

Your username is the email address you used to apply. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one here. You will then receive an email with further instructions.

I cannot complete and submit my application via the system due to an error. What should I do?

Please try registering on our portal using another browser. We also recommend that you do not use the translation function for our application form, as this may cause problems when submitting the application. If the problem persists, please contact us at careers@cariad.technology.
