CARIAD to acquire Quartett mobile

Planned participation increase to 100% strengthens mobile apps expertise

  • PressRelease
CARIAD to acquire Quartett mobile

CARIAD SE is to increase its stake in Quartett mobile GmbH to 100%. For several years already, CARIAD has held 49% of the shares in the Munich-based specialist for the development of apps that connect digital life with vehicles.

Quartett mobile will remain independent

Quartett mobile has around 100 employees and is based right next to CARIAD’s Munich office. The company will remain independent, and the management team will be retained. Quartett mobile already works exclusively for the Volkswagen Group and has developed many apps and app functions for all world regions. Quartett mobile is also an important implementation partner for the CARIAD App Toolkit. This overarching system for apps allows the brands of the Volkswagen Group to share resources. It can be individually tailored to the brand designs.

Our goal is to provide an app landscape with the best possible user experience for the Volkswagen Group brands. Having Quartett mobile even more closely at our side now helps us to successfully continue on this path.
