CARIAD is evolving into an AI company

We are consistently aligning our products, processes and teams with the broad use of artificial intelligence. Our goal is to further strengthen our global competitiveness in technology, speed and cost. This will fundamentally change the way software value is traditionally created.

At the core are four AI-based platforms for automated driving (ADAS), cloud, infotainment and motion, which we develop synergistically for the Volkswagen Group. At the same time, we are consistently advancing our successful global architectures and the China Electronics Architecture with AI-powered methods to accelerate the transition to the software-defined vehicle.

This technological realignment also requires adjustments to our organization and capacities. We are transforming CARIAD into a new, leaner tech organization built for speed, with competitive working conditions. We are currently in talks with the works council and IG Metall about this. Our goal remains clear: to secure CARIAD's future and to further strengthen the competitiveness of the Volkswagen Group's software and vehicles over the long term.
