What’s the event about?

IAA MOBILITY 2025 returns as the global platform for mobility, sustainability, and technology. From 9 to 14 September, it brings together industry leaders, innovators, and the public to shape the future of how we move. Taking place in Munich, the event is split across two dynamic locations:

IAA Summit & IAA Conference (Trade Faire Munich)

This is the beating heart of the B2B ecosystem: a space for mobility professionals and thought leaders to connect, collaborate, and explore groundbreaking technologies and solutions driving sustainable mobility forward.

IAA Open Space (Munich City Center)

Open to all and designed for public engagement, the Open Space transforms central Munich into an immersive experience of mobility—from hands-on tech demos to visionary showcases and interactive discussions on the mobility of tomorrow.

What’s happening at the Volkswagen Group stand?

CARIAD will once again join the Volkswagen Group at the IAA Mobility Summit in Munich. Throughout the week, the Volkswagen Group will be offering a varied conference program on current topics from the automotive and technology sectors at the exhibition stand. Following the central promise “Tech for the people” the company will showcase exciting products, interesting keynotes and panel talks with top-class guests from business and politics. Each day is dedicated to a key theme, making the stand a hub of innovation, discussion, and discovery:

Opening Day – Sunday, September 7

Even before the official start of IAA, the Volkswagen Group is igniting the next stage of entry-level electric mobility. The new Electric Urban Car Family of the Brand Group Core will make the best automotive technologies accessible to everyone. In addition, further pioneering models from the Brand Groups Progressive and Sport Luxury will celebrate their trade fair premieres and world premieres.

Press & Design Day – Monday, September 8

In collaboration with leading tech players, the Volkswagen Group will showcase how it is becoming an innovative driver for artificial intelligence and battery technology in vehicles. There will also be a detailed deep dive into the importance of design for the Global Automotive Tech Driver.

Politics & AI Day: In the heart of Europe  – Tuesday, September 9

The Volkswagen Group will demonstrate how comprehensively it uses artificial intelligence as a key technology for greater speed, quality, and competitiveness. Together with other industry leaders, ideas will be discussed to strengthen economic and technological innovation and resilience in Europe in the global technology race.

Technology Day – Wednesday, September 10

Starting with a Power Hour on technological highlights from Volkswagen Group Technology, the day features keynotes and panels focused on batteries, platforms, charging, and energy.

Software Day – Thursday, September 11

Organized by CARIAD and the Volkswagen Group, this day will be characterized by interesting keynotes and panels with top-class experts from the Volkswagen Group and other companies. The focus will be on pioneering technologies and strategies relating to the smart mobility of tomorrow - including automated and autonomous driving, intelligent user experiences in the vehicle, connected mobility solutions and the use of artificial intelligence.

Human Resources Day – Friday, September 12

The week wraps with a focus on the people behind the progress— provides exciting insights into the opportunities that arise in research and teaching as well as in the company from the ambition to become the Global Automotive Tech Driver.
