YOUR TEAM

CARIAD’s Corporate Quality division is responsible for the product-oriented Integrated Management System (Quality, Safety, Cybersecurity and Product Compliance) of CARIAD SE, including subsidiaries. In line with CARIAD’s software governance role within the VW Group, GQ understands itself as an Embedded Quality along with CARIAD’s Delivery Units, Tech Centers and Central Enablers in close collaboration with the Brands.

The product scope covers quality management for both CARIAD’s software architectures (“Verticals”, esp. E³ 1.1, E³ 1.2, CEA) and synergetic technologies (“Horizontals”, esp. in ADAS/AD, Infotainment, Cloud & Connect). The department is responsible for
safeguarding compliance with the quality standards for product and process quality as well as quality approvals of CARIAD products. The primary goal is to avoid development errors and reduce claims and thus increase customer satisfaction with CARIAD’s product portfolio.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• You are responsible to lead the Corporate Quality Team at CARIAD which acts in line with quality teams within the VW Group
  for all software-related product matters
• Actively drive the VW Group Quality Strategic actions fields for Software Quality together with the quality leadership of all VW brands for E/E architectures, embedded software stacks, cloud & backend systems and apps
• In your role as Head of Quality, you are responsible for the implementation of CARIAD’s Integrated Management System which covers Quality, Cybersecurity, Safety and Product Compliance Management
• Assure quality in software engineering processes with an Embedded Quality approach
• Assess, evaluate and improve product and process quality within the Delivery Units, Tech Centers and Central Enablers of CARIAD; measure Q targets
• Develop, track and improve comprehensive quality KPIs (metricized company) for E/E architectures, embedded software stacks, cloud & backend systems and apps
• Implement Safety Management System (UNECE R157 & EU 2022/1426)
• Define the Quality Policy & Quality Standards of the CARIAD Group (incl. quality objectives for products)
• Define standards for QM processes and procedures, as well as QM scopes
• Perform regular management reviews
• Implement Product Compliance Management System
• Manage lightspeed fast and sustainable field / customer complaint resolution processes with an interface to all brand quality departments
• Manage CARIAD’s Supplier Quality (Q ratings in procurement process, supplier audits)
• Drive together with VW Group and brand quality the development of new (Software) Quality standards

WHO YOU ARE

• Degree in engineering, economics, computer science or a comparable qualification
• Proficiency in software development incl. strong understanding of development processes on eye-level with engineering teams
• Extensive professional experience in the field of quality management, software development and operations for E/E architectures, embedded software stacks, cloud & backend systems and apps, security management, cybersecurity and product compliance, preferably in an international corporation
• Willing to travel to CARIAD locations (Germany, US, China)
• Sound knowledge of the relevant standards and norms (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 21434, ISO 27001, ISO26262, relevant Automotive UNECE standards)
• Experience in leading and developing teams and managing interdisciplinary projects. Management of personnel in transformation
• In-depth understanding of risk management processes and the ability to make strategic decisions to mitigate risk and ensure compliance
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a solution-oriented way of working.
• Very good communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization and in cooperation with external partners
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
