YOUR TEAM

It is our mission at the CARIAD ADAS & AD team to develop one unified technology stack in-house that brings Level 4 automated driving and parking to private cars and at the same time scales down to supply important NCAP safety functionalities to the entire VW fleet - making mobility safer and creating a new level of driving comfort.
You have the opportunity to work in an agile and highly motivated interdisciplinary team to build safe, secure and
scalable software solutions that will shape the future of the Volkswagen group.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Contributing to innovative systems for assisted and automated driving as part of a highly motivated team
  • Evaluating, discussing, and finalizing requirements for development and build environments in close collaboration with developers
  • Coordinating activities with other software developers in the project to identify and leverage synergies
  • Working on the prototype and production implementation of software components and performing validation in vehicles on public streets or proving grounds

WHO YOU ARE

  • Enrollment in a technical or scientific degree program, such as computer engineering, computer science, or mathematics (please specify the expected date of your graduation or end of enrollment)
  • Strong knowledge of software development using Python, C, or C++ and related toolchains such as Git or SVN
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to work, combined with a commitment to achieving targets and delivering high-quality results
  • Demonstrated responsibility and conscientiousness in code development
  • Enthusiasm for developing custom tools to address diverse requirements as well as excellent social, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Interest in innovative technologies within the automotive industry and a passion for solving complex problems and developing algorithms or software components
  • Proficiency in German and good command of English

NICE TO KNOW

  • Duration: 6+ months
  • 20 h/week, with the option to adjust to 35 h/week during semester break
