YOUR TEAM

Our “Infotainment Function, HMI & Cluster” is looking for a working student to support the development of the HD map across the brands of the Volkswagen Group. We are a team developing software modules which provide easy to use map data in customer related functions and smart caching technologies. In order to ensure a first class customer experience, we implement a system monitoring the quality of the HD map data permanently. The driver assistance and autonomous driving functions require a digital road map for planning information about the route ahead in order to check plausibility and adapt the functional behaviour. This ensures a safe, comfortable and optimal driving experience. 

As a working student, you get the chance to contribute in ensuring that our customers will have a safe, comfortable and driving experience while gaining  expertise incustomer-centric software development for infotainment in the car, mobile and beyond.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop software in context of our cloud-based (AWS) map monitoring system
  • Support the scrum team, which owns the complete tech stack of the system (Design, Development, Test, CI/CD)
  • Collaborate with experienced developers of the team in order for the code to live
  • Support and work in some of the following areas: Backend (Java/Spring Boot), Frontend (Angular/React), APIs (REST), AWS configurations, Map Data Validations (Java, NDS), CI/CD
  • Contribute innovative ideas for the system

WHO YOU ARE

  • Enrolled student in computer science, geograpghy, engineering or a equivalent field
  • Knowledge and first-hand experience in Java, Springboot and Angular/ React
  • Fluent in English. German would be a plus
  • Familiarity with agile methodology would be beneficial
  • Must be based in Berlin as regular onsite attendance is required

  • Duration: 6 months
  • 20 h/week, with the option to adjust to 35 h/week during semester break
