YOUR TEAM

The embedded Platform software department is responsible for collecting the system requirements, defining the software architecture with the global software team as well as running proof of concept studies to validate this software architecture. In addition, the department is also responsible for creating a roadmap for future implementation and bring it to the road.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Driving a team of motivated engineers, leading your teams functionally and disciplinary
  • Lead from the front by designing and writing key components of the base platform embedded system
  • Work in close collaboration with peers in the SDV Hub, function developers and stakeholders
  • Develop high level software architecture and design based on the brand and system requirements together with the team
  • Leading the effort for the future automotive software stack for the next generation of vehicles
  • Lead proof of concept (POC) studies to validate proposed SW architecture
  • Facilitate the inbound and upstream usage of Open Source as a strategic tool for CARIAD
  • Develop the team members to make an excellent impact in their current and future tasks
  • Continuous compliance monitoring to meet targets in terms of cost, quality, function and defined environmental targets


WHO YOU ARE

  • Master of Science in computer science or relevant engineering discipline
  • Visionary with strong moderation skills
  • Strong skill in working with cross functional teams
  • Several years of experience in leading and managing teams with strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Good knowledge of global automotive as well as general software trends accompanied with a strong industry network
  • Strong presentation skills to represent CARIAD outside in case needed
  • Deep experience in base technologies (e.g. OTA, ECU development, cloud fundamentals)
  • Knowledge of Software Architecture and Software Development process
  • Understanding of global automotive standards and safety certifications
  • Understanding of state-of-the-art automotive security concepts
  • Prior software development experience
  • Proven track record in shipping high volume products
