YOUR TEAM

Our interdisciplinary and international team jointly works on implementing new and innovative Connectivity solutions, as well as providing enabler technology for other domains within CARIAD (such as Intelligent Cockpit & Body, Automated Driving, Digital Business & Mobility Services). Constantly refining and consolidating our existing solutions, is our fundamental premise for delivering an outstanding customer experience and satisfaction for our Volkswagen Group customers today and tomorrow.
In our Connectivity unit we develop the devices to enable communication between the car and external environment incl. internet and public infrastructure.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Be responsible for development of a specific Connectivity ECU and its integration into the ECU compound
  • Make sure the ECU delivery (development completion) is within budget target and in time by fulfilling technical and quality requirements
  • Steer internal and external contributors (technical engineers, suppliers, etc.) and interface to other VW Group brands
  • Ensure that solutions to issues (technical or other, development or integration phase) are found by bringing the experts together and that they are rolled out quickly
  • Prepare, track, and maintain a project and integration plan as well as document the project and the integration incl. the compliance-related artifacts (e.g. radio device certificates)
  • Manage product requirements and track changes
  • Prepare and give an approval to the integrated product

WHO YOU ARE

  • Educational training or university degree in electrical engineering or similar
  • On either supplier or OEM side: At least 3 years practical expertise in ECU development and integration or similar OR at least 3 years practical expertise in vehicle Connectivity (both for series production)
  • Technical knowledge of the product (ECU) and its development processes - from product request via product approval for series production until component integration integration (system engineering) and field maintenance in the vehicle
  • Backend Software development experience (C/C#/C++/Python/Java) is a plus, even in a non-automotive area
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management, including project planning, steering and change processes
  • Complex stakeholder Management skills, applied internally as well as externally
  • Fluent English language skills (oral and written) are a must, German language skills are nice to have
