We’re uniting over 6,500 global experts to build a scalable technology stack, including a software platform, unified electronic architecture and reliable connection to the automotive cloud. Our CARIDIANS are developing vehicle functions such as driver assistance systems, a next-generation infotainment platform, power electronics and charging technology, and digital services in and around the vehicle.

Our software can already be found in Volkswagen ID. models and will soon power Audi and Porsche vehicles with the E3 1.2 platform in 2024.

“More time for coding – We make Cariad IT a central driving force for our companies success” Based on that vision, Cariad IT is aiming for improving IT delivery and ensuring security. A product-centric IT organization and excellent IT skills are the foundation for our work.
The scope of role covers the Enterprise Architecture & road mapping, process efficiency and IT security governance roles on the one hand and Engineering IT, shared services IT and Backbone IT products & services teams on the other hand.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Setting up our newly designed central IT organisation with governance and service responsibility.
• Supervising the design and implementation state-of-the-art IT management processes
• Creating full IT budget transparency and IT budget control
• Driving and maintaining an adequate governance and policy framework
• Providing organisation relevant, effective product offers and efficient service
• Ensuring effective IT innovation mgmt.
• Implementing an efficient product and services lifecycle management processes
• Ensuring close collaboration with IT-users and various Cariad departments to understand the needs
• Aligning with Volkswagen Group IT parties and market vendors to utilize existing services, reduce redundancies and speed up IT product time to market

WHO YOU ARE

• Successfully completed studies in the area of IT, IT business management, or similar field with at least 15 years of professional experience
• Outstanding and proven modern leadership skills for own team as well as cross functional and agile teams
• You know how to harmonize different requirements in a successful way across corporate units and also in international contexts. You possess strong intercultural skills to manage multiple stakeholders worldwide
• You are process oriented and result driven
• familiar with all relevant development and decision making processes of Volkswagen Group entities is a plus
• Passion for the tech industry and transformation as well as profound cross-industrial understanding of trends, technology and mobility market
• Excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus
