YOUR TEAM

The team specializes in developing advanced video perception algorithms, relying on intricate camera parameter models that capture sensitivity characteristics, intrinsic distortion, and extrinsic alignment, effectively translating the outside world into the realm of images.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Design and implement camera calibration methods, both for production and real-time online applications, drawing upon your deep expertise in camera calibration (intrinsic, extrinsic)
  • Utilize your knowledge of non-linear optimization, marker/feature extraction, and bundle adjustment to estimate the optimal image-to-world transformation, utilizing available data
  • Collaborate with other cameras and sensors to achieve globally optimized calibration parameters, ensuring a unified and accurate perception system
  • Continuously enhance and optimize existing camera calibration approaches, with a focus on real-time processing capabilities
  • Collect, analyze, and document requirements, aligning them with stakeholders and utilizing them as input into software and architecture design, adhering to automotive processes and company standards
  • Take the initiative to improve and maintain working processes and development infrastructure within your team, contributing to the team's overall success

WHO YOU ARE

  • A degree in Photogrammetry, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages and/or Python
  • Professional experience in video perception, image signal processing, or computer vision
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems like Linux, QNX, or Integrity, as well as data handling frameworks such as ROS, Apex.OS, etc. is advantageous
  • Experience with automotive software development processes is a plus
  • Outstanding social, teamwork, and communication skills, with proficiency in German and good English language skills
