YOUR TEAM

You will be working inside the team Systems Architecture and System Safety. We are responsible for defining the logical and physical architecture of our future electric/electronic architectures. These architectures will realize innovative chassis, driver assistance and infotainment functionalities. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Define the system architecture for our next-generation E/E-architectures, so that future functionalities in the Chassis- and ADAS-domain are realized in an optimal way
  • Participate in the overall design process, and you communicate architectures and concepts both within CARIAD and the VW group brands
  • Discuss system requirements with internal stakeholders, and you derive lower-level requirements for your architectural artefacts
  • Analyze and assess system architectures according to various criteria
  • Apply architecture processes and methods in your daily work and collaborate with the PMT teams to drive continuous process improvement

WHO YOU ARE

  • University degree in an engineering discipline such as computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering with focus on information technology – ideally with systems engineering, hardware or software development elements
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in system design or software engineering
  • Passion for MBSE, and you “speak” SysML/UML as fluent as any other of your natural languages
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of chassis control and ADAS/HAD functionalities
  • Deep knowledge of requirements engineering techniques and tools
  • Good understanding of various engineering process models (either classic or agile)
  • Skills in project management and collaboration tools such as Confluence, Jira etc.
  • As part of a multicultural team, you are fluent in English, German language skills are desirable

  • The ideal candidate will add:
  • Technical expertise in automotive technologies (Assisted/Autonomous Driving, Motion and Energy, Cockpit/HMI …) or work experience from other eco systems such as aerospace or rail/transport
  • Knowledge in functional safety and ISO26262
  • Experienced with agile development frameworks like SAFe
  • Experienced with configuration management techniques and worked already with a git-based workflow
