YOUR TEAM

In the area of automated driving, we develop functions for the future of our vehicles. It starts with the driver assistance systems, continues with the safety functions, from the emergency brake to the preventive detection of a side impact, to highly automated driving and parking.
You will be member of a department being responsible for the system safety of costumer functions as well as systems.
You will join as a member of team being in charge of functional safety of sensors (radar, laser scanner, and camera systems), computing platforms and data fusion.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Accompany the product development from the first evaluation throughout the complete development cycle to the system assessment to the series production release
  • Consider functional safety according to ISO26262, SOTIF and operational safety
  • Performing safety management for your system and coordinating the necessary steps with internal departments as well as with suppliers and development partners
  • With your safety concept at system level, you create the links between function, architecture, networking and the systems (sensors, computing platform, etc.)
  • As a specialist in functional safety and expert at system level, you are responsible for coordinating and creating the safety-relevant work products for evaluating the system safety

WHO YOU ARE

  • Degree or doctorate in electrical engineering, control systems, mechatronics, computer science, physics or similar
  • Extensive professional management and engineering experience in functional safety (e.g. ISO26262, IEC61508)
  • Experienced in the development of safety-related products for at least 5 years
  • Good experience in systems- and requirement engineering
  • Good understanding of software and hardware development as well as integration and testing
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, German is a plus
